Betta Fish: This doesn’t look right at all man

First post so uh, hello (I can make an intro with my tanks and fish another time, but this seemed important)

Well, unfortunately for me, I work as a trainer at insert big pet store and I also do petcare. I love my job and we take really good care of our animals compared to most other stores, but there is only so much we can so, and we still get our animals from trash places.

Well about a week ago when I was receiving betta shipment, I found this dude, named him Tartan. I pulled him because of his diamond eye, but also noted the blue patch on his head thinking Mayne velvet or something (betta illnesses aren't my strongest area of knowledge).

Well when I came in today I noticed he now has blue patches on his back and tail fin. I know bettas can change color, but I've never seen a platinum do it, especially this fast and that texture.

Anybody have any ideas on what it is and what to do to help (we are not allowed to euthanize)
