I'm 6'2" 250 pounds. Looking for a kayak that I can take on smaller lakes for trout and maybe float down a few rivers with. Please advise.

  1. Personally for me the Discovery, single person canoe. You aren’t limited to preconfigured things, you can do whatever you want in it. More room to move around and get comfortable as well. It’s a dream boat of mine, if I could find a cheap one I’d be all over it. [Lost Lakes](https://www.youtube.com/@LostLakes) uses one in his expeditions sometimes.

A cheaper alternative of it would be the Ascent H10 or H12, you can find those used for probably half that price, if not cheaper. I have one, at 6’4″ 270lbs it holds me and my gear just fine. It’s what I use to fly fish out of because there’s nothing for my line to get hung up on.
