"Gulper Days" late June/early July 2025 SW MT. Starting out the a.m. with my trusty Winston 5wt 9' Boron IIX with 3x tapered mono leader and 4x/4.5x terminal tippet, occasionally having to go to 5x terminal tippet. "Go-To" flies: #16 or #18 Purple Haze and either a #18 red zebra midge or #18 split-case PMD nymph. Winds come up typically around 12-1pm and we switch to black leech streamers with backups of olive or black or red Woolly Buggers, typically with 4x terminal tippet with the wind, but when clear/calm using 5x terminal tippet. I'm not smart enough to figure it out, but some images don't seem to 'drag & drop in'. My fault, I'm sure.
