I swapped the rods so it's designed for a spinning setup. I still have the 8' casting rod and intend to keep it.
Are there any casting reels for medium sized fish that would go well with it? I want to spend less than $150, but it seems casting reels are more expensive across the board.
Also what does my line setup typically need to be for a surf cast?
