Betta Fish: My boy lexapro

I have had my boy lexapro for about 3 months now and he hasn’t changed color at all. He has these black stripes on him but it doesn’t look like it is his usual coloring. What is it and how can I fix it? He was originally in a 5 gallon tank that would not cycle. The ammonia was always high so I bought a new 10 gallon tank and cycled it for a month. The levels have been stable since. He’s a happy fish that eats well and interacts with his tank and me. I just want to know if his color will ever change. It also looks like he has some torn fins and fin clamping.

– Nitrite: 0 ppm
– Nitrate: 5 ppm
How long have you had the tank and fish?: 3 months
Water Changes: 25% per week. Take out, put in, redose
Tankmates: Horned Nerite snail
Food: Flakes twice a day, bloodworms once a week (he won’t eat pellets)
Decorations and plants in the tank: duckweed, anubis’s, driftwood (more I don’t remember)
