My buddy took me fly fishing one afternoon this Summer and I immediately bought my own gear. In Sept I brought my fly rod along on some gorgeous hikes in the Sierras and caught a ton of beautiful fish in alpine lakes and streams. Then I did a weekend in Bishop in October as well as this past weekend, fishing the Owens river and Bishop Creek nonstop. Here are some of my favorite views and favorite fish from my first "season" as a fly angler.
Each time I'm out there I feel like I learn something new or experience something amazing. Still more to learn, excited to get back out in the Spring.
