  1. I used a currency converter and found that 450 Canadian dollars is about $320 USD. What condition is the rod? If it’s new, then sure, it’s a great deal as you’ll be getting the warranty with it. If it’s used, it still might be worth it to you, but it’s not necessarily one of Winston’s rarest or most coveted rods.

    I’ve got an early 2000s Winston vapor (lower end) that I gladly paid $150 for. Personally I would pay $320 all day for that rod. Even my old vapor doesn’t seem to
    Suffer much from being “vintage.” The action is crisp, and it’s one of my favorite rods I have. To each their own.

  3. That’s a terrific price for a Winston. As long as you don’t end up never using because you never had a use for a 9wt in the first place, it’s a great deal. Would.

  4. I have this rod, and love it. Fast action and is good for driving big flies in the wind. You’re not going to find a better rod for that money.
