Hi there, my son and I wanted a fish so we went to the store and got this lil' honey in July. We didn't know much about Bettas but we are learning together and I'm obsessed with how cute and funny this fish is!!!
I originally had some beautiful plants in there, but they began to mold or…I don't really know that it was. It sloughed off in these slimy cobweb-like sheets. Nightmare's water kept getting filthy and smelled terrible. I finally gave up on the plants for a couple months bc I just wanted to get the tank back to normal; I was afraid my lil friend would get sick.
I do water changes at regular intervals. I'm happy to follow advice. Right now Nightmare's in the 10 gallon but when I do water changes, Nightmare stays in the 5 gallon summer home. ☺️
Can anyone recommend specific plants that I should get? We have an incredible aquarium store here but sometimes they are so busy that I feel like I'm in their way. I'm shy and just leave, meaning to come back another day. Thanks for the advice.
