Having issues with my shimano stradic CI4+ 3000, on occasion the line has been getting caught up and tangled under the spool. Doesn't happen often and when it does happen it's when I have a little bit of slack in the line and I reel in, not a ton of slack and I have never had this problem before with the reel using the same line, it still could be user error though. The line is 2LB SOS and the rod is a TFO trout panfish 2, I just recently got this rod but I have had the reel for over 5 years and have been using the same brand of line the whole time. I just recently put new line on the reel, about 300 yards of the 2lb SOS. I was wondering if I just overspooled my reel and need to take some off or if my reel is not laying the line correctly? I also recently cleaned and lubed the reel so I may have messed with how the spool sits and I was thinking that may have caused the line to lay incorrectly, I cleaned and lubed the reel before I put new line on. I appreciate any input and advise.

But if the lines over a year old thatâs prolly your issue
