First four pictures are Red this morning, last four are him the first few days I had him! (Please note that 1. the fake plastic plant has been removed since đ and 2. Please ignore the algae on the tank walls, those will be cleaned with a water change sometime this week)
Technically his gotcha day, but… birthday works too, in my mind! As of this evening, I'll have officially had Red for one whole year!
Red has changed so much over this year, and he's taught me so much. I'd only had one betta before him (my first attempt, who was already sick and lasted for a week), but I suppose he's my first "real" betta experience. I spent so long at the betta rack in the pet store, googling how to find the healthiest betta, and Red was the one who ended up coming home with me.
There's been a lot of mistakes along the way and there's a whole to-do list of things I can still improve, but, at the end of the day, I think his main concern at the moment is me topping off his water so he doesn't have to fight the filter waterfall xD
