Im a beginner in fishing and i was given a reel from a vacated aprtment that has probably been there for a very long time. Does anyone know if the reel is any good and worth keeping? The rod that i was given thats attached is pretty bad from my little bit of research.

sadly no. buy yourself a penn battle 3000 or 4000. great starter reel. if you donât want to spend much, there are tons of them on ebay for cheap and they are known workhorse reels that last forever.
