Caught this out of lake well known for its lake trout fishing. No stocking of splake, or known brook trout population in the lake. I am guessing a brookie came down from a feeder creek into the lake and lived long enough to spawn with a lake trout. This fish had a forked tail, no blue halos, and worm markings on its back. Any insight on what fish this is?? Wild splake??
