Made the switch to 20lb braid with a 8 or 14 lb mono leader, so far I’ve liked it but have been having it seem super loose and twisting when I cast. I know braid doesn’t twist per se but it is that a sign that the line wasn’t spooled as tight as possible? Would it better to up it to 30lb braid? Fishing mainly rivers and lakes in Michigan.
I’m struggling to keep tension on the line, even with heavier jigs or spinner baits.
For reference I’ve got a 6’6 medium heavy.
Also is this under spooled?
