Betta Fish: Update on my fish: is fish-in cycle suppose to be this easy?

So update. I did get her on Saturday and promptly set up a tank for her Sunday. I already had almost all the supplies. This is my first time doing a fish in cycle.

I raided my other planted 10 gallon for the larger plant on the left, floating plants, and the big mopani wood. I also attempted to do the seeding from my established tank by squeezing the sponge into this tank after I filled and added seachem prime dechloronator. I also added a few pinches of the substrate from my other tank. The substrate in this tank is inert sand. I also added one single dose of seachem stability. The temp has stayed steady at 77 degrees. I added her that same day and instantly she was exploring the tank. She has been swimming all around and looking at everything. I have fed her little pieces of fluval bug bites just once a day since then.

Since setup, I have tested twice a day around 12 hours apart. I keep getting 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite so I haven’t done a water change. Is it even possible it’s cycled? I am using the API master test kit. I read seeding could help but I didn’t think it would work because I don’t feel like I know what I’m doing. Clearly she has been eating (lightly) and pooping. There is no need to change the water for now as long as there is no ammonia or nitrite right? I plan to fast her one day a week and probably feed frozen mysis shrimp atleast once a week.

I have been really enjoying watching her swim the length of her tank. I can’t wait to watch her grow. She’s so beautiful. Her name is Tyra-dyan. Tye dye for short LOL
