I noticed my betta, Kokomo, started to rest at the bottom of his tank the other day. And then the next day when I saw him swim upwards, then back down, I saw white fuzz coming out of his gills. I immediately started a Maracyn treatment in his tank, and have ich-x on the way. I will attach a picture, it looks so uncomfortable.
Tank info: 10gal, heated to 78, live plants, once a week water changes at 30%. Didn’t test parameters as I did a change anyways before starting treatment. Only two nerites as extra inhabitants.
I plan to use the ich-x if Maracyn does not work. I know ich is not the same as what I’m seeing, but when I’ve looked up treatments that was what was recommended. Is there anything else I should do? I was considering either aquarium or epsom salt baths in a bowl
