Looking for a decent braid. Ones that I tried were the EU versions, information from the actual spool:
- Daiwa j-braid x8, 0.16mm/9.0kg/20lbs/pe#1.2 – actual braking point was 4-4.5 kg at line, not knot. That means, half the strength written on the package/spool.
- Sufix 832, 0.15mm/9.2kg/20lbs/pe#0.8 – actual braking point was 4.7-5.8kg at line, not knot. That means, still pretty crap compared to info on the spool.
Are the EU braid "marketing" numbers total shit compared to reality or is there some other weird reason why those braids were way below specs ?

Sufix is generally tested as being pretty good compared to stated specs. [linelaboratory.com](http://linelaboratory.com) has great testing details. The EU conversion would need to done but it may have info that would be helpful in your search
The Japanese line sizes are very different compared to American, I run 16 lb sunline almight and it’s like a 8 lb braid, the 11 is 5 lbs or thinner
