Betta Fish: Meow Mix thriving in my tank overgrowth

I just got back home for the first time since leaving for college. Turns out, my tank has been thriving off of my parents' minimal knowledge of aquariums. I started a new tank in my dorm and once it was established, I moved Meow Mix into it, but break is too long to leave him, so he returned home with me and is back in his first tank. Both me and him are LOVING how overgrown it's gotten. I am almost a little sad that I'm going to have to take some plants out for maintenance before I go.
