So, I'm fortunate enough to live near a long river going through a conservation area in Massachusetts. It has native brooke trout and stocked rainbow according to fish brain. How would you guys fish this from a kayak in winter? I had an awesome day yesterday hitting it for the first time but didn't get any bites. I was using a trout magnet micro jig with a bobber and slowly jerking it back to me. I also tried to throw a rooster tail but the water has too much dead plant matter. The water is also very murky.
