…a Plakat with no dragon scale. I absolutely do not want to deal with the increased risk of fin rot or blindness and infections due to his scales (which my previous boy had all of).

The way this boy moves so effortlessly through the water compared to his predecessor breaks my heart. Poor dude really couldn’t swim with his long, heavy fins.

Tank is planted & fully cycled. Ph 7.4, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates 10, temp 79°F.

4 Amano shrimp, 1 mystery snail, and 5 Pygmy corydora catfish all still alive and well. It was only my betta who succumbed.

This is DD. Short for Don’t Die.
He is feisty with a great appetite and adapting well to life in his ten gallon. Quick replacement due to three daughters sad to see him missing from the tank.
