Pretty sure it’s in the wrong spot right? Also do I need a snap swivel?

Tie your line through the center circle.

Tie it in the middle ring

You tie it on down at the elbow. This one actually has a ring there, but most spinners don’t. No snap swivel for this because the lure itself doesn’t spin

You tie it where the wire make the ring between the body and the spoon.

The loop to the left of your arrow, as pictured, is the correct point of attachment.
You can use a swivel if you want, but it is not necessary.

Tie it in the first loop in the wire coming off the head of the jig. The one to the left of the arrow. No need for a snap swivel, these stay upright as you reel them in.
