It was a bit dry fishing for a while, but it was a good catch. I started for crappie but the wind picked up, so I started casting with the wind where the smaller stripers would normally be.

Nice! When I go bank fishing on the MO river I’ll set up 3 poles. I only have 3 and they are all for different things but I don’t have money to invest in multiple poles of the same type. I’ll throw out two catfish bottom rigs on the larger poles and a float with worm on the ultra light for baitfish or what ever comes by. The two largest channels cats that I’ve ever caught have both been on that ultra light bobber and worm. Having to fight carefully on 6lbs line and an undersized reel to land a fish that shouldn’t have hooked up in the first place is always the best rush and the most fun.
