Just fish with it. Regardless of how you spool a reel, it’ll always end up the same after being used.

Let it out behind a boat… reel it in with a bit of tension.
Alternatively… have someone grab the end, walk hundreds of feet – then reel it back in

Besides having too much line it looks tapered and thicker near the top of spool, usually your reel will come with washers you can add/replace to help fix this if you remove the spool. Also looks like you need more tension when spooling your line, try holding line tight with a wet towel in your hand.

Tie to a pole or something walk away pulling drag then tighten drag and reel it back in with tension
