He's had fin rot before, but it didn't look like this at all, that had visible mold on the tips of his fins. He's usually a vibrant blue. He acts healthy and still swims and eats like normal – should I be worried?
His tank water has been tested and it's in the green on everything. I have soft water and use the tank conditioner, I deep cleaned it about a month ago but he was starting to change colors before that.

How old? Not to sound funny but he has the “old man declining and nothing will help” look. Like nothing is wrong , things just start to fail and colors fade as they are approaching the last 4 months of life I have noticed (and only in my males…. Not my females ever oddly….) The color fade of an aging betta is wild, it’s sad but natural. If you aren’t experiencing any other concerns and he’s at least 2…. From this image and the info provided I’d say aging.
