Is my set up strong enough to jetty fish in socal?

My set up right now is a Lew's Laser SG1 Graphite Speed Stick Spinning Rod, and I have a daiwa regal 2500 on it with 12 lb braid. I still don’t know too much as I’m still new to fishing. But I’d like to fish from the jetty if possible, and if not is this setup enough to at least fish the marinas. Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. 🙏🏽
