Despite it’s the old generation of the Avantt series it’s, paired with the right line, a true workhorse for light indicator nymphing and technical dry fly fishing.
One of my all time favorites!

I personally like the aesthetics of the original Avantt more than the Avantt 2. The brown wraps and greenish trim just doesn’t do it for me.
I have an Avantt 904-4 I love.
I wish they’d use normal black reel seats though. I have a weird affinity for reels matching the reel seat hardware, and I think that Hatch of yours is the only finish I’ve ever seen that matches. I’m weird, I know.
