My dad gave me a lot of his fishing gear since I’m a beginner to the hobby. This rod was one of the 4 he gave me and was wondering if it’s a casting or a spinning rod. I saw a post that said something like if the eyelets are around the same size then it’s a casting rod but I’m not sure how accurate that is. There is nothing written on it aside from the numbers 180 which is probably the length (180cm). It’s probably some cheap Chinese rod because my dad doesn’t like to spend a lot on rods but it feels quite nice in the hand. Any info would be helpful

casting rods will have a trigger under the reel seat
Casting rods have a index finger trigger/catch
I’d say a casting rod but there’s also no “trigger” sticking out.
Though, maybe it’s a special type of rod because it looks crazy with those eyelets so close to each other.
definitely a spinning rod! the big eyelets at the bottom and how they get gradually smaller towards the tip is a dead giveaway. for casting rods they’re usually all small and similar sized.
