About a week ago I noticed my buddy Charlie having significant swelling and pine-coning around his belly area. Within a few hours, this large wound (first image) appeared on his left side. I was sure I’d have to say goodbye to him and I was genuinely devastated. Still, I didn’t want to just give up without trying.
As soon as stores opened, I was off. I picked up a 5 gallon tank, a new filter, kanaplex and epsom salt. I started him on a regimen of kanaplex and salt baths every other day (respectively on alternating days), along with fasting. The second picture is him today. Pine-coning is gone on his right side, still presenting mildly on the left. His wound is healing so nicely and he’s finally active again.
I really thought he was gone at first, but this medicine surely saved his life. I’m so happy I get to have more time with my little guy. I just wanted to share my joy with all of you :’)
