Can you have a good fishing experience and get around on ponds/lakes ok with one of these?
And, can you put a trolling motor on something like this?

I have an inflatable and it’s great. But it’s a much sturdier inflatable than this. (Think of a white water raft vs a pool inflatable material) So I have a solid floor board with swiveling seats and a trolling motor. Takes about 20 minutes to full assemble and put together for 2 people. I’ve used it for 4 seasons now without issue. Brand is Sea Eagle.

Seconding a kayak, these inflatables are extremely clumsy and hard to maneuver on the water – you will spend more time trying to get the boat where you want it to be than fishing. If space is an issue, I’d recommend either a modular, inflatable, or folding kayak. A stand-up paddle board is also a solid choice if you don’t have a ton of gear, you just have to be careful to secure everything.

Whatever you do, wear a life jacket. I got a fishing life jacket with pockets all over it. I even wear it on the rare occasion I’m standing on slippery rocks upstream from class 4 rapids.

You’ll have a hard time working a spot on anything but the calmest day, the slightest gust of wind is going to push you all over the place. Get a kayak.

I know you’re probably looking for a budget option, which is cool, but you’re going to be severely disappointed trying to fish from one of these. Anything less than perfect weather conditions will make this thing a nightmare to maneuver.

Had a couple buddies try this and they ended up hooking the raft and sinking in the harbor. Thankfully I was there on my yak to video document the ordeal
