I bought this line off amazon for 10-15$ with the intention to learn how to spool my fishing reel. Has anyone here used this line before? Is it a viable sea fishing option or should i use it strictly for learning purposes?

Monofilament is my least favorite type of line personally. People use it but it’s typically toast after 1 season and is prone to tangle due to excessive line memory

It’s the only one I’ve ever used for the last 30ish years, although I’m just hitting lakes so the heaviest I’ve ever used is 8lb, but if you’re going for monsters 20lb shouldn’t be much different

I use this in 60lb for leader when rock cod fishing. Cheap and effective, can’t ask for much more.
