My bettas 10 gal tank has an algae problem and no matter how much i try i cant get rid of it all (pictures taken right after water change btw) https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1pkmmqt Posted by EmuTheSecond
StillPissed on December 12, 2025 8:21 am Turn the light off more often, and do more water changes. Too much light + too much nutrients = happy algae. Try only 5-6 hours of light on a timer, and dim it if you can. Your anubias won’t care at all. Add more plants. Healthy low light plants can outcompete algae for nutrients. Try a butt load of Java fern and Amazon frogbit.
