So I work 9-6 today and being that it’s Saturday I don’t have to drop the kiddos off before work like usual. So naturally I wake up before sunrise and go fishing until I have to be at work. I was using a top water frog with wopper plopper style legs and a 3rd hook that goes between the legs- things caught me many o fish. This morning I got THREE “blow ups” that didn’t hook before having to head to work. On my 1 hour lunch break I hit up a new spot I was told about and burned the entire hour with not even a nibble working swim baits, worms and spin baits. Work was pretty slow so I left a little early and hit this little spot on my way home determined to actually land one. I was there for about an hour and a half and again had a missed blow up and at this point the sun had just set, I’m getting bit my bugs, my back hurts from standing on the angled bank and I say “one last cast, COME OOOOON”. Throw it out and half way in, WHAM!! Good solid fight and finally landed one. Thank GOD! I was so frustrated, needed this guy.
