Hi everyone! I recently moved one my tanks so that it is now situated next to my other one. Do I need to put a divider between the two tanks so they don’t see each other? They don’t seem to really notice each other or even flare at each other and they’re both pretty docile individuals. But I will definitely add one if you guys think this may be causing stress! Any advice is appreciated!

Yeah Id recommend it. You could do some fake book decor between them to look better or some plants
My brother had two takes together and bettas would see each other. Maybe put a piece of paper or frost the glass in between?
I would yes, my bettas LOVE looking out side of their tanks and in my experience they will definitely be able to see eachother from that distance
The duckweed will still probably get in the other tank…
I read a research paper recent that bettas seeing each other between tanks and flairing at each other research shows it’s beneficial to their enrichment and even brightening there colors more (when done occasionally ie 20 mins a week during the study but this can even be done with a finger) due to mimicking natural encounters with other bettas in a safer controlled environment. But constant exposure like this can lead to them guarding and stress them out overtime, you could get some black vinyl backdrop between them and slide the tanks together my Walmart carries it and I wanna say it would only be like 10$ tops
a secret passage
Another tank!
You could get a few bamboo stalks keep the natural feel. I have them behind my tank to give more of a backdrop since I have a lid and can’t have them in it.
