Flukes too light to fish?

Someone I met said they fish exclusively flukes, so I went and bought some to come to the conclusion they’re way too light to cast effectively on my baitcaster.

I really like the natural action & want to get as close a possible. If I add a bullet weight & Texas rig it I’m sure it’ll fish like a senko.

Is this effective? Rate my Carolina rig lol
