Got this guy from a white elephant exchange (which I have strong opinions on but oh well). Luckily, I was wanting to get a betta and had already done a lot of research. Immediately got him a 10 gallon tank with some plants and a hiding spot to start and he's looking so much healthier! This is after only 24 hours in his new tank.
He also has a heater and filter 😁

I got two guppies from a early 2025 white elephant game. That’s how I hopped into head first into thi s hobby, which sucked but hay. I don’t regret where I am now. Just state that it’s a horrible idea to gift people pets no matter it’s size to your family. And to not do it again, and if they say that it’s just a fish, tell em to zip it. No more pets during any gift giving event.
