Cabin fever. December blues. Sunny nostalgia.
Call it what you will but, I don't share in the excitement everyone else does for the coming holidays. I typically aim to grind through this materialistic, commercialized nonsense so that I can focus on the coming season.
After Christmas, though the solstice has already passed, we'll suffer through about a 6 week winter hellscape – here in western Wyoming.
By mid-February however, the shovels will be back to work, hunting for those big trophy trout.
Just gotta get through these next two months. Time to apply myself to the fly vice and build up stock for the coming year.
