My betta hasn’t been doing great since we got back from vacation. He can swim but a lot of the time I’m finding him at the bottom of his tank or in odd places. Way less active than before and when he leaves his log he kind of sinks to the bottom and will swim back up to his log later on. I just don’t want him suffering. He’s eating pretty normally still.

My tank parameters:
pH: 8.4- I already had a few almond leaves but will be adding some more
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5 ppm

This would happen to mine after every short 3 day vacation. They’d always get the “bloat” when I would get back and feed them. Could be a stress/shock response. So sorry 🙏 yours has the glazed eyes it won’t be long now. Swim in peace
