Temu Artificial Worms, Do they work? and How to Rig?

I see these temu Artificial Worms, probably 1 Inch length.
What's the best way to rig them?
i'm just targetting small fish like "tilapia," do they work?

I see that it also comes with some small rubber bands, tho i don't have them. Do I need the small rubber bands, or can i just put them directly through the hook? I don't mind losing them as long as I get a bite…
