Betta Fish: Is the filter ok or does it need an air stone?
Currently cycling my tank for a betta fish in the new year and just wondering if the flow is ok or needs an air stone?

Bettas don’t need oxygenated water whatsoever. They, in fact, prefer minimal surface agitation, as they go up to get air from the top with a lung-like organ called the labrynth organ.

You don’t need an air stone. As long as you’ve got some oxygenation your all good.
