bowls like that are much too small and very bad for them. they need atleast 5 gallons of space, a heater and a filter. he looks okay right now but he will not live well or for long in a bowl like that
Don’t tap on the glass, this is like rule #1 of owning a fish. They can feel the vibration throughout the water and it’s basically like a mini earthquake.
Secondly I would say he doesn’t look great, looks like he is struggling to swim because he doesn’t have enough space horizontally or vertically. A round enclosure can be fine if it has enough volume but this one does not. Needs a tank upgrade with real plants and a proper nitrogen cycle asap.
