Hi,
I have a few low to mid price range spinning gears that are in need for maintenance. From Sahara to Ultegra, what grease do I need. I use them in saltwater, should I go with SR-G? Initially ordered NLTS-2 but then I saw that it is used for Stradic all the way to Stella. Or should I just get the ordinary Penn blue grease and call it a day.

That chart is insane.
I use one oil (TSI 321) and one grease (super lube). For saltwater reels everything but the spool bearings on a casting reel gets grease. Grease in spool bearings slows them down and decreases casting distance by a lot. Covering everything in grease does mean the handle has a little more resistance but nothing inside the reel corrodes. I’ll take the anti corrosion over being super loose spinning in saltwater reels all day.
I will argue that TSI 321 is the best bearing lube for reels. I don’t think the grease matters as much. I use super grease because I already had a big container. I used a tube of blue Yamaha grease before that and it was also good.
