Set out to create a community tank as a gift for my fiance. The goal was a natural look.

It's now been setup and running for 6 months and I'm happy to say it's been a resounding success. Yes it is overgrown and yes that is somewhat intentional as weve seen very positive results from the livestock the more coverage they get.

It has been an incredibly rewarding experience in not only animal husbandry but also gardening.

I have not done a water change since month 3 and given the levels tested in the water I doubt ill ever have to do more than top ups again.

The tank is powered by a 25 gallon sump setup aswell as pressurised c02, wavemaker and a chihiros pro light and the stocking levels would be considered medium.

I have the creativity of a wet noodle so I relied on nature to design most of the tank for me while I focused on the back end development.

Currently planned for the future is incorporating more back end fail-safe procedures such as expanding on the custom sensory setup which I'm establishing with a rasberry pi setup and rudimentary sensors, after seeing that a store bought setup for monitoring is aproximetly 6000-10,000 AUD i thought id just figure it out myself.

I hope some of you can find the beauty in the chaos that is nature.
