I cracked the ferrule on the first female part when setting the hook on a fish. The rod is a 5wt Orvis clearwater which is under the 25 year warranty. The section must have worked loose. It appears to me to only be in the resin coating and not in the graphite itself to me. Just wondering if its worth sending in for repair? Thank you.

How new is this Clearwater? Current generation has universal fit parts, so you’d be able to just order a replacement piece. Older generations need to be returned though.
