Hello guys i really need your help on deciding what braid and leader to use for shore jigging in a rocky area(My main target are amberjacks).i found this board from a proffesional angler but I’m having a hard time deciding. My first option was 0.23mm braid(PE #2.0) and 0.50mm leader but some people say it’s bad and I will get cut off every time. Please help me.

I have zero idea what anything here means other than the diameters. Forget all the science garbage. You need to be running 30lb braid for your mainline and around 60 lb fluoro or mono for your shock absorber/leader. FG knot recommended, but many different knots will do in a pinch. I use uni-to-uni on a regular basis. Alberto is better than that but not as good as FG. 30lb braid to 60-75lb fluoro is what I would do. Generally speaking, whatever your braid mainline is, you want double that for the leader. And I would want 30lb mainline for amberjack.
