So I kinda messed up and tightened my reel to my rod too hard, and not it’s stuck and won’t come off, there was a slight indent from before is the rod had been used before I got it, so that could be the problem. Any advice or miracles to help or will I have to break something to take it off? I’m almost certain it will be the bottom bit that is stuck. Yes the twisty thing has always been able to detach from the clamp ever since I’ve had this rod. Help!!!

Give it a little love tap with something like a rubber handle from a spatula or something and it should come off
Some kind of thin lube might do it, not sure what would be plastic safe though. Maybe cooking oil, but that might be too thick.
You might get some hot water and pour it over the collar. The collar is thinner than the rod side of the threads and might expand more than the rod threads.
Something like channel locks would work as they’d give you a better grip, though at best they’d mar the hell out of the color, and at worst break it.
Put a flathead screwdriver where the reel seat is stuck and tap it with a hammer. That’s what has worked for me.
Flathead screwdriver and tap it all the way around.
Guess that’s how it is now.
Tap it in the opposite direction taking pressure off the retaining ring
