I just noticed it today as I was feeding him. Could it be a burn? His favorite nap spot is behind my filter right by my heater.
He is in a 10 gallon tank that is heated to 76°F and has a filter. PH: 7.6 NO2:0 NO3:5 AMMONIA:0

It’s hard to tell from the photo, is it raised/3d?
It kind of looks like he scraped off a scale (would not be raised).
If it is raised might be tumor/cyst. Don’t panic some bettas last months/another year with them before they start to decline.
