I've only just realised that ALL sides of my tank are mirrored 🙁 I thought he could see me because he would always come to the front of the tank when I poked my head around to take a look at him. This is only a 4.2 gal and Im thinking about moving him to my new 8.5 gal tank after it establishes. Would suddenly going from a reflective tank to a clear, acrylic tank stress him out?
I love my boy so much, I've only had him for a week or two and I want the absolute best for him

honestly, moving him to the 8.5g is the best thing you can do!constant reflections are actually super stressful for bettas because they think a rival male is in his territory 24/7. he’s essentially ‘on guard’ all the time. going to a clear tank won’t stress him out—it’ll be a huge relief for him to finally relax
