Oooh, sounds like you might have listened to my suggestion to replace the combomba with Echinodorus 'Red Rubin' swords! I really hope you do it. They grow larger with darker leaves with shades of wine red. They will compliment the regular swords you have wonderfully and looked really good growing amongst and behind them.

I am sorry I went with stem plants also. To much work always trimming them. I will stick to rooted plants but I have a ton of stems plants still
you can trim the tops of val and they are fine… i do that onece a month in my 60 tall.

Many years ago I had an Electric Catfish.
I got shocked several times.
When I bought it may have been 1.5 inches long. It lived for many years and was about 10 inches if not longer when it passed away.

I would leave the stem plants in the 700. But you do you. Your work with plants is wonderful.
