I got my first Betta a little under two weeks ago.
He currently is in a 4.2 gallon, this is a temporary tank until moving into an 18 gallon once it's done cycling.

For the first week he was quite active and exploring the full tank, but over the past few days he's really decided on this corner. He spends a lot of time kind of just sitting here, not moving a whole lot.
He has some other hides below and underneath the driftwood, and has large Anubius leaves near the surface to rest on.

He only does this in this specific corner, no others.
Is this a reason to be concerned? Or does he just really like this corner.

Also that's not a parasite or anything on his eye, it's just a snail on the glass that happens to be over his eye lol.

I’m only new to owning bettas as an adult but from what I hear they’re lazy swimmers and will often have a corner they prefer to rest in. I have a leaf that suctions to the side of my tank and my dude often sleeps there.
