Betta Fish: Is he getting better or worse?

So, my boy has fin rot, and for about a week(ish?) I've been treating him with acriflavine, he started from really lethargic one day to just being acgive again, following my finger and flaring, like he usually does. I just don't know if the way his fin looks is the sign of it getting like.. Better or worse?

•He's in a 5.5 G tank with 2 hiding spots, 1 silk plant and one fake plant
•has a heater and a filter
•I do weekly 20% water changes and add acriflavine every so often
•feed him 4 pellets a day
•no tankmates
