This is Dizzle, he passed away right before Christmas Eve when he was meant to be a Christmas gift for me to cherish and love. I did everything I could with a tight budget and attention, but yesterday he randomly started displaying sick behavior and passed in the afternoon. I don’t think I did anything wrong, which is why I’m having trouble understanding what could’ve possibly happened. I cried on the way to work, and on the phone with my girlfriend—I’m only happy I could give him a better life in his last few weeks as opposed to the cup he was found in.
Rest in peace Dizzle 🙁

Sudden death in bettas usually is caused by bad water quality (high nitrites or ammonia) wrong temperature and ph, over feeding and sudden environmental changes.
I’m so sorry for your loss
He is beautiful, thank you for sharing, but I’m so sorry for your loss 💕
Aww so sorry! So pearly! T.T Don’t stop loving em.
Like others have said, sudden water quality changes (like a those in an uncycled tank) will kill your fish. Sorry for your loss.
As a personal general rule – I don’t name any critters until 2 weeks has passed, makes their potential death a little softer.
Some of you become too attached to your fish !
